Orana Wildlife Park

They call it the Orana Wildlife Park but we call it the zoo. Seriously, we asked the taxi driver to take us to the zoo, he had no idea. She even said that there is no zoo in New Zealand.

Admission to the zoo itself has a reasonable price, but not for cheetah encounter which costs NZ$200. In the end, we went for the lion encounter which is far more reasonable. Ironically, for the lion encounter, we were held captive in a cage for outside which the lions were free to roam. We were the display material for them.

All in all, we had a fun and exciting day. It was like a school-trip only there were no teachers around. Enjoy the pictures.

Nees said, "Yes, I'm tall enough to go for the lion encounter". =P

This was where we slept when we were in Christchurch.

Aeda , making lunch. We had a tough life indeed.

Introducing llama, for those who couldn't read. =P

Llama.

Random fact, their eyeball is bigger than their brain.

The graceful cheetahs.

Introducing Aeda's bestfriend, the meerkat.

And the meerkat is looking for Aeda.

I think I can feel their chemistry.

This is a black and white lemur.

She shaved that lemur and wears them on her feet.

Aeda, hand-feeding the giraffe.

Nees, doing the same thing.

I would like to have a donkey for my pet.

I told Aeda that she wouldn't be able to do this, her legs aren't long enough. =)

There we are, held in captive. A display for the lions.

Meoooww.

She was staring at Aeda. Aeda is very sweet for her.

Fear is the absence of courage.

Cute.

Hugging the kiwi.
