Otago Peninsula

The Otago Peninsula is worthwhile to visit if you are in Dunedin. Before I continue, I was a bit confused whether to use peninsula or peninsular. I did check the dictionary; peninsula is a noun while peninsular is an adjective, very interesting fact indeed.

The Peninsula is about 50km from the city centre (correct me if I'm wrong). It was last easter break that I went there as a personal satisfactory obsession. I cycled all the way to the Peninsula which took me around 2 hrs of pleasuring pain. Here are some of the pictures that I took.

Reminds me of the seagull in 'Finding Nemo'

Glittering water of Otago Bay

Nice weather for picnic

This was where I stopped for a refreshing break

Dandelion

Original definition of 'Dandelion' came from French which is 'dent-de-lion'. This of course would mean the lion's tooth. Named due to the jagged shape of the leaves according to my reliable source. The scientific name of this plant is Taraxacum officinale (correct me if I'm wrong).

Apparently, there is a lot of Dandelion growing near to Oshin's crib. It is fun to pick them up and i recommend you not to make them as gifts; very inconvenient.

A pleasant surprise? :P

Protecting the Dandelion from the wind which is inconvenient

I just let her blow the Dandelions away and let the wind define their path

p/s: my model likes Dandelion a lot

Treasure hunt

The treasure hunt was organised by the BSA as part of the orientation programme for the new batch of students. I was informed that the main aim of this activity is to familiarise the new batch of important places in this beautiful city of Dunedin. And also for the seniors, to enjoy the food being provided, drool. The treasure hunt started around 2pm at Cumberland Hall (Cumby) where they were given initially. The hunt ended at 251 Castle St where foods awaited. This post contain a lot of pictures, I need to learn how to convert large amount of pictures into grids for easy uploading that is. Anyhow, here are the pictures arranged chronologically. By the way, best advanced birthday wish to Nees from me and Oshin.
